Description: This massive hand-blown decanter made of olive green glass is an iconic designer piece by the leading Slovak glass artist Jaroslav Taraba, designed for the Rona glassworks in Lednické Rovne. The object captivates with its distinctive organic shaping, featuring a distinctly bell-shaped lower part and an organically formed neck with a spherical transition. The bottom of the decanter bears authentic traces of manual hot-shop production with a ground pontil mark from the glassblower's pipe. This elegant solitaire represents a prime example of Slovak hot-shop glassmaking from the 1970s and is in excellent preserved condition.
