Description: An oil painting on canvas from 1944, depicting a figural scene of a young shepherd with a lamb. The artwork shows a young figure in a green hat and jacket, sitting on a grassy meadow. A lamb is next to him. The figure is focused on an object held in his hands, likely a book or documents. In the background, a landscape with birch trees and a field under a blue sky with clouds is visible. The work is signed lower right by the artist ANT MARA with the date 1944. The painting is executed in oil on canvas, which is stretched on its original wooden stretcher frame. The condition of the work includes minor surface dirt and slight wear to the canvas at the edges. On the reverse of the stretcher frame are handwritten numerical notes: "90 / 23412" and "1200,-". This figural painting with landscape elements represents an interesting example of Czech painting from the mid-20th century, suitable for collectors and art lovers.
