Description: This Persian miniature depicts a hunting scene with riders on horseback. The painting is executed in the Suratgari style, a traditional form of Persian miniature, typically realized in gouache on substrates such as paper, celluloid, or bone. The image shows two hunters with bows on horseback, pursuing game in a landscape setting with hills and trees. The artwork is presented in a frame crafted using the Khatam Kari technique. This Persian marquetry utilizes precisely arranged small geometric patterns, created from a combination of wood, bone, and metal, lending a distinctive visual texture to the frame.
