Subcategory: Painting
Location: New store

Condition: Used

Description: The painting depicts a mountain landscape with a vast fjord or lake, reflecting the sky with clouds. A small boat is visible on the water's surface, complementing the scene. Massive rock formations and mountain peaks, some covered with snow or ice, rise around the body of water. The work is executed in oil on painter's cardboard. A signature in red is located in the lower right corner. The painting's frame is wooden, with a surface patina, showing minor scuffs and signs of handling. On the back of the frame, there is a label with information about the frame supplier: NÁDHERNÉ RÁMY K OBRAZŮM DODÁ O. ŠEBA VINOHRADY FOCHOVA 22 TELEFON 408-30 (BEAUTIFUL PICTURE FRAMES SUPPLIED BY O. ŠEBA VINOHRADY FOCHOVA 22 TELEPHONE 408-30). The cardboard backing on the reverse shows moisture stains in the lower part. The painting thus gains historical context associated with O. Šeba's framing shop in Vinohrady, Prague.
