Description: An embroidered picture on canvas depicting a significant figure of Czech history, Master Jan Hus. The central medallion with Hus's portrait is surrounded by a laurel wreath, an open book, and the symbol of a chalice. An integral part of the work is a patriotic quote, literally transcribed in CAPITAL LETTERS: "I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN RENOUNCE THE TRUTH AND SERVE LIES AND DECEPTION Master Jan Hus". This historical patriotic item is set in a wooden frame richly decorated with characteristic spikes and stylized rosettes with gilded details. The frame's decoration is typical for folk art and patriotic items from the early 20th century, reflecting period artistic and craft workmanship. The frame shows minor traces of long-term use, which are characteristic of the material and period of creation, but without significant damage. On the back of the frame, paper with the text "MERRY CHRISTMAS" is used as backing.
