Description: The painting presents a detailed winter landscape of the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) with dominant snow-covered mountain peaks in the background. The foreground and middle ground depict a dense forest, its trees covered with snow, and a vast snow-covered plain with visible ski tracks. Small mountain buildings or huts are visible in the landscape, fitting into the picturesque environment. The work is executed in watercolor on paper, which gives the scenery lightness and subtle color transitions. The artist's signature HARTMANN FRITZ is part of the work. On the reverse side, there is a handwritten label with the description: "F. HARTMANN / RIESENGEBIRGE / AN D. SCHNEEGRUBEN", which translates to "F. Hartmann / Giant Mountains / By the Snow Pits". Furthermore, a round stamp with text is located on the reverse. The watercolor is mounted in a simple wooden frame with a light finish, under glass and a passe-partout. The frame shows minor abrasions consistent with its age and use. The watercolor paper is free of obvious stains or damage; the passe-partout has a slight discoloration due to time. The painting is a valuable example of regional landscape art and is suitable for art collectors with a Krkonoše theme or for complementing an interior with natural motifs.
