Description: Didactic painting from the early 20th century, executed using the technique of color lithography on paper. It presents an instructional graphic on the topic of first aid and the correct positioning of an affected person. The painting is divided into two parts. The upper illustration shows a person lying on their back with lower limbs in a raised position, which is the recommended position for fainting. The lower illustration depicts a person lying on their back with their head supported, which is a suitable position for unconsciousness to ensure airway patency. Below both illustrations, the literal text is placed: 'POSITIONING A PERSON WITH FAINTING AND UNCONSCIOUSNESS.' The work is set in a gilded wooden frame with rich ornamental decoration. The frame shows minor abrasions and patina. The paper under glass is in stable condition. The reverse side is fitted with a wooden frame and a hardboard panel. This is a historical document, suitable for collectors of medical curiosities, school aids, or as decoration for doctor's offices and thematic interiors. The motif is valuable for studying the history of medicine and didactic materials.
