Description: Theme: A composition depicting two birds of prey, likely eagles or hawks, in dynamic interaction above rocky terrain. In the background, the silhouette of a vertical structure and a simple building is visible. The scene emphasizes the movement and power of the animals within the landscape. Technique: Pencil or charcoal drawing on toned paper. Signature: Signed in manuscript “Metelák 43” in the lower right. Date: Created in 1943. Condition: The drawing is matted in a cream-colored passe-partout, which shows minor stains in places. The drawing itself is well-preserved. The work is set in a wooden frame with a patinated finish. The frame shows minor scuffs and surface changes. The back of the frame is fitted with its original backing paper, which is discolored and stained in places. In the lower left corner on the reverse, a handwritten inscription “METELÁK” is visible. This drawing represents a mid-20th-century work with a wildlife-in-landscape motif, suitable for complementing a collection of graphic art and drawings, and offers insight into contemporary Czech artistic production.
