Description: A solid wooden ammunition crate, originally designed for the safe transport of pyrotechnic material for the Czechoslovak People's Army (ČSLA). The crate is constructed to protect its contents from moisture and impact. An internal label provides detailed information about the original contents: S 7/73, 300, 26,5-Sig-čvdš/a, aluminum casing, T K (in a circle). The designation 26,5-Sig-čvdš/a specifies 26.5 mm caliber signal flares, which were used in signal pistols, such as the vz. 44/67. The abbreviation 'čvdš' refers to 'červený déšť' (red rain) flares, which create the effect of falling red stars after firing. The number 300 indicates that the crate originally contained 300 pieces of these signal flares. The figure 7/73 denotes the batch number and the year of manufacture, 1973. The specification 'nábojnice hliníková' (aluminum casing) clarifies the material of the cartridge body. The mark T K (in a circle) represents technical control, which verified the quality of the ammunition before it was dispatched from the factory.
