Description: A traditional Czech landscape painting depicting a forest stream. The stream flows through a dense green forest, with stones in its bed and rich vegetation lining the banks. The sky above the forest is partially blue with clouds. The artwork's technique is oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right, by the painter, as V. Hrubý. The work dates from the mid-20th century, with an estimated creation between 1940 and 1960. Painter V. Hrubý was a Czech regional landscape artist whose work focused on depicting Czech nature. The canvas and painting show no obvious tears or significant defects. The frame shows signs of wear to its finish, especially on the edges, where the golden undercoat is visible. The reverse side of the painting has its original wooden frame. The painting presents an authentic view of the Czech landscape, characteristic of the work of regional painters of that period. The green tones of the forest and the dynamism of the stream create a harmonious whole that will add a calm and natural atmosphere to an interior.
