Description: Hand-knotted wool rug with a classic medallion design, referencing the Tabriz or Mashhad style. The compositional arrangement with floral arabesques and corner spandrels replicates traditional patterns of Persian city workshops. The central dark blue field is dominated by a large, vertically elongated rhomboid medallion with elaborate floral decor in light golden, ochre, and cream tones. The medallion design symbolizes the center of the universe or the sun. The dark blue field, known as Shah Abbasi, is interwoven with small tendrils, flowers, and palmettes. In the corners of the field are decorated corner spandrels, known as lachak, which correspond in color and decoration to the central medallion. A wide perimeter border on a golden ochre base features a classic motif of continuous floral cartouches. This element provides the rug with a clear boundary and visually expands it. Detail of the reverse side confirms handwork. The knot structure indicates dense craftsmanship on a strong cotton warp with a double weft. Each knot is defined. White cotton fringes are visible at the edges, emerging directly from the internal warp of the rug. This finish proves the completeness of the weave. The rug measures 305 × 200 cm, corresponding to an area of 6.1 m². This salon format is suitable under seating arrangements or in the center of larger living rooms. The rug is in clean condition with evenly preserved wool pile. The color combination of royal blue and golden ochre is market-stable. The 3x2 meter size in blue and gold is a marketable item.
