Description: A successful genre work by Austrian painter and illustrator Schnierl Heinrich (1883–1956), depicting an emotional scene of a young couple at a fortepiano in an early 19th-century-style interior. The work is executed in watercolor on paper and framed under glass. The signature "Schnierl" is located in the lower right. Heinrich Schnierl demonstrates a keen eye for detail, period realities, and an intimate, nostalgic atmosphere. Local foxing and age spots from moisture are visible on the paper. It is framed in a newer white strip frame.
