Description: A wooden flower stand, designed for indoor placement of houseplants. This type of fioriére or jardinière was made in former Czechoslovakia, dated to the 1960s to 1970s. The bent beech wood construction consists of slender slats that form an airy basket. The bottom of the basket is intended for inserting a flowerpot, most often with trailing plants. The base is formed by three curved legs, ensuring stability. Although its overall shape resembles a travailleuse panier à laine, a traditional basket for balls of wool and knitting, its primary purpose was a pedestal for flowers. The item is suitable for complementing interiors with period design.
