Description: The painting depicts a rich bouquet of lilacs with purple, white, and pinkish-brown flowers, arranged in a low ceramic vase or bowl. The work is executed in oil on canvas or cardboard. The painting style is a traditional academic-impressionistic still life, characterized by thick application of paint on the flowers to achieve a three-dimensional effect. The composition is complemented by a striking chiaroscuro background with a wine-brown undertone. In the bottom right corner of the painting, the signature PÁNVIČKA is engraved or etched into the wet paint. The painting dates from the first half to mid-20th century, specifically between 1930 and 1950. It is highly probable that this is the work of a Czech artist. The painting is set in a wooden profiled frame with a red bole ground showing through the gold. The frame exhibits patina and light scuffing.
