Description: Landscape painting depicting a pond in Ville-d'Avray, featuring a boat. The work is an artist's copy of a piece by the French Barbizon painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796–1875), who rendered this pond motif in his native Ville-d'Avray in various variations. The technique used is oil on canvas. In the lower left corner, a faint remnant of the signature "Corot" is visible. The painting is dated to the 20th century, likely created in the second half of the 20th century. On the reverse side of the stretcher frame, there is a handwritten French description: „L'Étang de Ville-d'Avray à la barque de J.B. Corot 1858“, which translates to „The Pond at Ville-d'Avray with a boat by J. B. Corot, 1858“. The canvas on the reverse is clean and light. The light spruce stretcher bars lack deep patina and historical craquelure, which is consistent with a later period of execution.
