Description: This item is the body of a wooden plane, specifically a long plane known as a 'macek' (a Czech term for a large jointer plane). Internationally, this type of tool is known as a jointer plane or varlope. The current configuration is incomplete, lacking the blade (iron), the wedge for securing the blade, and the front handle (knob/pin). However, the wooden body of the plane clearly presents its characteristic structural elements. It includes a rear integrated handle with an opening, which served for stable guidance of the tool during work. In the central part, there is a cutout, referred to as the bed, designed for inserting the plane blade and its subsequent fastening with a wooden wedge. The front part features a raised protrusion, which originally provided support or served as a mounting point for the missing front handle. This segment of the wooden tool represents an authentic example of historical craftsmanship equipment for woodworking and carpentry.
