The work is precisely executed using the marquetry technique, where various types of wood are assembled into an image, creating a detailed scenery of the castle set in a landscape. The intarsia captures the characteristic towers and fortifications of Karlštejn Castle, surrounded by trees and rocky terrain. The composition utilizes the natural colors and textures of wood to render depth and perspective. The wooden panel is set in a wooden frame with a gold finish. The work is neither signed nor dated. Both the intarsia and the frame show minor abrasions and signs of use. The frame is solid, with slight surface imperfections. This type of artistic woodcraft is valued for its demanding craftsmanship and durability, representing a decorative element for collectors and lovers of historical motifs and the art of intarsia.
