Description: This interesting historical device, made of wood, was used in photographic laboratories for contact printing and exposure of photographic negatives, especially large-format glass plates. The device bears its original metal label with the designation Chronograph Modell 335 and serial number № 2043. The construction consists of a solid wooden box with ventilation holes, integrated electrical wiring, and a side switch. The upper working surface is fitted with frosted glass and adjustable metal masking strips to define the image format. For perfect pressure of the photographic paper against the negative, there is a hinged pressure lid with characteristic red felt padding and a robust mechanical lever with a wooden handle. The device is in authentic found condition with natural patina and traces of previous use in a darkroom. The electrical wiring and the functionality of the switching mechanism have not been tested.
