Description: This rotary voltage converter (dynamotor) from the renowned First Republic manufacturer František Radouš (FRA) Prague-Karlín (type LS, serial number 1139). The device with a power of 200 W served to transform low voltage 40 V into high voltage 800 V, which was crucial for powering the anode circuits of the then vacuum tube radio stations, military, or amateur transmitters. The unit features a robust metal body with a central clamping collar, original terminal blocks with massive nuts, and characteristic exposed commutators with carbon brushes on both ends of the shaft.
