Description: This original, hand-carved sculpture depicts a detailed bust of an indigenous woman with distinctive African facial features. The sculpture is crafted from solid natural stone (likely soapstone or serpentinite / soapstone), combining smoothly polished areas of the face and shoulders with a rough, textured structure at the back, which is a typical characteristic of traditional Zimbabwean Shona sculpture. The bust draws attention with its elaborate, high-swept hairstyle featuring a fan-like structure, adorned with gold details at the top of the head and a matching gold earring. Thanks to the natural veining of the stone, the sculpture has a unique patina with subtle marbling in grey-green and ocher tones. The item is in a very well-preserved condition without obvious cracks or mechanical damage and will serve as an impressive artistic focal point in both modern and classic interiors.
