Description: Square-shaped ceramic inkwell with an opening for ink and smaller openings for quills. The surface is decorated with a blue and white painted decor featuring a landscape and floral motif. On the bottom, there is a signature "E. Gallé, Nancy," referring to the French artist Émile Gallé or a workshop associated with his name. The item likely originates from France from the 19th century. The inkwell bears signs of age – minor chips on the edges and fine craquelure in the glaze. An interesting collector's piece representing historical writing instruments.
