Description: A faceted glass inkwell with a hinged metal lid. The body of the inkwell is made of clear glass with cut facets that create optical effects. A blue-and-white monogram of the letter H is depicted on the front of the glass body. The lid is fitted with a metal hinge and a circular decorative insert. The insert displays a floral motif of small blue flowers, likely forget-me-nots, on a dark background. The metal parts of the lid and hinge show patina. The inkwell served to hold ink and is suitable as a desk accessory, for collectors of writing instruments, or as an interior decoration.
