Description: Stoneware vase from the Belgian workshop E. Guérin Bouffioulx, decorated with a hand-engraved and multi-color glazed bird motif, whose shape and wing articulation resemble stylized Egyptian decorations. The form with a pair of handles is complemented by a sculptural ornament below the neck and the typical warm hue of heavily fired stoneware. The workshop's impressed mark and model number V30–E9 are on the bottom, and a fragment of the original Guérin Bouffioulx company label is preserved on the side. A striking decorative piece representing 20th-century Belgian ceramic art with an exotic-looking motif.
