Description: This ceramic bowl, of majolica or faience type, captivates with its elaborate sculptural design and distinct historical character. The upper circular vessel, with a wavy, geometrically bordered rim, is decorated around its circumference with relief, color-glazed motifs of dark blue grapes and green leaves. The entire bowl is supported by a monumental figural pedestal composed of three seated dog sculptures with brown-white streaked glaze, leaning their backs against a central column and sitting on a circular base. The item is offered in authentic found condition with a prominent patina and signs of age – the glaze shows a network of craquelure. An illegible mark is on the underside.
