Description: This glass bowl on a substantial foot is an iconic work by the prominent Czech glass artist Adolf Matura, one of the most significant post-war designers of pressed glass. The entire surface of the item is adorned with a characteristic relief decor of small raised spheres, complemented by larger circular medallions with a delicate internal grid structure on the sides of the main vessel. This specific structural pattern is also repeated on the substantial profiled base, giving the entire piece excellent optical dynamism and rich light refraction. The vessel is made of clear glass, has a stable base, and an elegantly flared shape. The item is in very well-preserved condition without visible chips or cracks. It will serve as a charming retro interior accessory, a decorative bowl for fruit and sweets, or as a highly prized collector's piece representing top Czechoslovak glass design of the second half of the 20th century.
