Description: This rectangular porcelain plaque served as a decorative or labeling element in a historical pharmacy. The front side is divided by a gold line into two fields, each bearing a detailed painting of a traditional pharmacy container (stojatka) with Latin pharmaceutical abbreviations: the left container with the inscription „EMPL: DIACH.“ (Emplastrum Diachylon – lead plaster) is adorned with a golden laurel wreath, while the right one with the inscription „EXT: OPII“ (Extractum Opii – opium extract) features rich figural and floral decoration in Empire to Art Nouveau style. The entire plaque is bordered by a thick gold stripe, with the gilding showing slight signs of wear. The back, made of rough unglazed porcelain (or stoneware), reveals the authentic age of the item and is interesting for its period, hand-drawn sketch of a pharmacy vessel in pencil along with an old inscription.
