Description: A bowl or deep plate made of white glazed ceramic, manufactured in France. The central decoration depicts a figural motif of a man in period attire, shown with a pipe. On either side of the figure are stylized plant elements with red fruits and blue flowers. The rim of the plate is bordered by a repeating ornamental pattern in a rich burgundy hue. On the underside of the item, there is a circular manufacturer's mark with the text S. AMAND . NORD . HAMAGE and the numeral 0. The Saint-Amand-les-Eaux manufactory in the Nord region is known for its production of faience and ceramics. The glaze surface exhibits fine crazing, which is a natural characteristic of the material and manufacturing technology. This ceramic item is suitable for collectors of historical tableware, decorative ceramics, or as part of an interior design with a French accent.
