Description: A copper jug with a wide flattened body and a tall, tapering neck, characteristic of North Africa. It is fitted with a massive handle and a small hinged lid, attached to the handle by a simple metal loop. A ring with a delicate, hand-engraved geometric pattern is visible on the neck. The entire surface bears a distinct patina, typical of older copper items, including greenish oxidations on the bottom and body. Such jugs were commonly used in Morocco and North Africa for storing cool water or for ritual ablutions.
